[BUG]Screen goes black when game starts after playing GTA:SA
That's right, I played GTA:SA and now Guild Wars loads to a black screen. I can hear the login screen music and it works fine if I "Restore Down" GW to put it in a window. However, the second I maximize it again, it goes black....If I restart my computer, GW works fine once again. However, if I play GTA:SA and then try GW, it does the same thing! I have tested it multiple times and it always stops working after I play GTA:SA
Athlon 64 3400+
Radeon 9800XT 256mb
Catalyst 4.12 (I don't want to upload the driver just yet)

Is your graphics card getting very hot after playing GTA:SA? Could you possibly find out for us?

Sounds like GTA:SA has a memory leak that interferes with GW. Not too much you can do to fix this except reboot after playing GTA:SA. GTA:SA may also affect other programs negatively; you just haven't noticed it yet.

If you haven't already done so, uninstall GTA:SA and then reinstall it, also might be an idea to update your chipset, graphics drivers..
Not sure if theres been a patch released yet, as the game apparently comes out in the UK today, woo hoo

I wonder if there are some files being installed by GW into another location, that other sources might interact with, or possibly they are getting corrupted by other programs.
I know the previous poster mentioned memory leaks which is quite probably the answer, especially being as GTA:SA is a new game, but could file contamination also be an issue.
We know how WIndows just loves to have mutiple issues of all the same common files, as it has no idea how to share properly.

Well, this is very strange...As before, after I play GTA:SA, GW does not work in the full screen mode. However, if I play another game after playing GTA:SA, such as Joint Ops, GW will work again. I tried this multiple times.
